• The lineup deadline for the first week of the playoffs is extended to Saturday night, October 10 at midnight ET.

  • 13 divisions have 1st-place ties - there is a 3-way tie in Phightin' Phils, Ashburn Division
  • 82 1st-place teams have leads less than 4 games

  • 11 divisions have 2 teams trailing by 4 or fewer games

• As we start Week 24 games...with 12 games left to play:
  • 63 of 272 divisions have been decided
  • 11 divisions have 1st-place ties
  • 89 1st-place teams have leads less than 4 games
  • 112 teams are within 4 games of 1st place
  • 19 divisions have 2 or 3 teams trailing by 4 or fewer games (Born to Run League, Cobb Division has all teams within 3 games of 1st).

9/10/26

• Week Twenty-five Transactions Posted - Week Twenty-six deadline is TBD - setting the date temporarily to Sunday, Oct 4 at 7 PM Eastern.
  • No free agent signings this week - Cuts and IR moves only
  • Week 26 is the first playoff week. It's also the final week for transactions.
  • Players under contract for 2027 and beyond must be kept during the roster carryover process this winter. If you've changed your mind about keeping them, it's your last chance to cut them before that happens (although you may be able to trade them away in November/December).

9/7/26

• The next games to start Week 23 will post on Tuesday night. I should be able to finish Week 23 by the weekend and then I'm out for 2 weeks. We'll resume with Weeks 24 & 25 in late September.
• Because of my time away, I won't post close race updates this year either. Don't know if anyone reads those, but I like to do it to give me a sense of what's happening around BWB.
• But as we enter our final 3 weeks of play - 18 games all within your division - here's a summary of where things stand:
  • 24 of 272 divisions have been decided
  • 18 divisions have 1st-place ties with 1 division in ThirtyThirtySomething League in a 3-way tie
  • 109 1st-place teams have leads less than 5 games
  • 146 teams are within 5 games of 1st place
  • 27 divisions have 2 or 3 teams trailing by 5 or fewer games (Redbirds League, Slaughter Division is the one where all teams are within 5 games of 1st)

• Didn't get a chance to post this, but from games that posted last weekend we had our first division champions of the 2026 season:
  • Longball League: Mudville Nine (Rob Behymer)
  • Silver Screen League: Jobu's Rum Runners (Michael Rudolph)
• Since I'm going to be gone for a couple of weeks in September and will need to finish up the regular season games ASAP when I return, I'm not going to post all the division winners as I've done each season since 2009. It just eats up too much time.

• It's our last deadline shift of the season. Starting this week and through Week 25, transactions and lineups are due on Wednesdays.

8/14/26

• September roster expansion comes into play for game lineups during Week 23. However, since several of you have lots of teams, you can begin ordering your taxi squad and minor league players now - a week early.

8/8/26

• This week (Week 21, deadline 8/13) is the final week to move players to the Prospect Roster
• Trades are closed for the season

• With game 100 we've reached the 2/3 mark of the regular season

7/25/26

• Week Eighteen Transactions
  • Which 1st-round draft picks were you able to pick up? See all your transaction results on one page
  • 9 of the 40 listed draftees are 100% owned, meaning there are still some opportunities this week
• Upcoming Deadlines of Note:
  • Week 20 - Thursday, August 6 - Trade deadline
  • Week 21 - Wednesday, August 12 - Final chance to move players to the Prospects Roster

7/18/26

• First round draft picks of 2026 are now in the player list.  You can sign them this week.
  • How to find the picks?  On the player selection screen, use the "Other" filter and you'll find an option for "First Round (2026)"
  • You'll also find them by looking for players who are new to the list in Week 18. There were no other new players added this week besides the draft picks.

7/15/26

• Check all your teams to see if you have any pending trade offers. Note - you can always see this even if you can't find this link:
  • Click "Multiteam Tools" in the upper left corner of the screen
  • Then click "View all transaction submissions for all your teams this week" - that's the same page I'm linking to above for pending trade offers
• Team Finances update - Bonuses for all-star players added - See rules for more information
• Reminder - there's no cash distributed this week for game results and divisional placement. The cash you have now is the exact cash you have remaining to sign contract extensions.

7/13/26

• In our current layout of the BWB season deadlines against the MLB schedule, we hit a point at the All-Star break where the BWB games don't get completed in time to get the transaction order and financial rewards on our normal 2-week gap.
  • Week 15 games won't be done until Saturday or Sunday, so we can't use the results and standings and player awards during Week 17 transactions.
  • The transaction order for Week 17 will be the same as currently showing on the site for Week 16. There will be no cash distributed this week for game results, division placement, or player awards
  • After that we'll run on a 3-week gap. For example, Week 15 game results, etc. will be applied during Week 18 transactions and the transaction order for that week will be based on standings at the end of Week 15. We'll run that way as long as necessary. I think that lasted for the remainder of the regular season in 2025.

7/12/26

• This is the final week for contract extensions
• All teams just received 1000 in cash
• There's going to be one more small cash distribution to teams this week before the contract deadline - for All Stars
  • Each BWB league has an all-star team - the 2 top performers at each position in each conference (6 OF, 7 SP, 7 RP) - someday I'll find a way to easily post this for your viewing.
  • Plus, you get a bonus for players on your team who are on the MLB All-Star teams. I usually have to wait until the day of the game to set this to check for the late additions.
