Transaction Deadlines - 2025

Dates are for roster changes and lineup changes.

Players signed in one week are not available for lineups until the following week.

Players cut in one week may still be used in that week's lineups.

Traded players change teams the following week - just like with signings and cuts.

All transactions in the off season are due by Midnight Eastern Time on listed dates, unless otherwise specified/changed.

During the regular season, transactions are due roughly at the start time of the first MLB game of the day.  There are exceptions to that - see the note below on consistent deadline times.

Current deadline, reflecting any changes, will be posted on the home page, your team's roster page, and on the transaction index as well as other pages throughout the site.

New leagues will fit into this schedule after all phases of their drafts are complete.

Major League Games: These are the MLB games used for collecting batters' stats for the fantasy games that week.

Signing Pct: The amount of the player's salary you need to pay to sign him.

Cut Pct: The amount of salary rebate you receive for cutting players (no rebates to players under contract or with salaries 200 or lower).

Trade Pct: The signing/cut percentages for players in trades (continues to pro-rate all season).

Dates to keep in mind:

Week Zero Transactions - Wednesday, April 2

• All returning leagues - Teams cash balances over 5 million will be cut down to that 5 million bucks value after this week. (Exceptions: New leagues for 2025, brand new owners for 2025 with orphan teams, current orphan teams, or orphans assigned after Week -2 are not subject to this). NOTE - this was NOT enforced in 2025
• All leagues get an extra 2 million in cash after this week. (Teams over 5 million will be cut down to 5, then get the additional cash).  In a bit of a loophole, if you're on the other end of the cash spectrum and running out of money, BWB actually counts that extra 2 million toward your Week Zero signings.
• This is the deadline to have a complete roster - you must be able to fill all 29 required roster slots and all field positions by this date.  (What happens if you don't?)

Week 1 Lineups - BWB Opening Day - Due Thursday 4/10/25 (What happens if you don't set it?)

Deadline to receive a rebate for a cut player - Week 15: 7/4/25

Cash Distribution (1000) before contract deadline - Week 16: 7/10/25

Deadline for Contract Extensions - Week 17: 7/17/25

First Round Draft Picks available to sign - Week 18: 7/24/25 (subject to change)

Trading Deadline - Week 20: 8/7/25

Final Free Agent Signings - Week 24: 9/3/25  (Only cuts and IR moves allowed in Week 25)

Playoff Lineups - 10/4/25 (estimated)

Winter Trading Periods - Deadlines 11/23/25 and 12/14/25

Carryover Decisions: due Sunday, 1/4/26

Redistribution Draft Choices: due Sunday, 1/25/26
